Job Title: Placement Opportunity – Software Engineering Student

Location: Lancing, West Sussex

Hours of work: 37.5

Duration: 40 weeks commencing start of summer 2024

This is an exciting opportunity at Eschmann to help develop and enhance the company’s infection control products in new areas of Electronics, Software & connectivity.

The role will involve working alongside in-house technical teams including Software, Electronics, IT and Technical Support as well as some time working with third party software developers and Marketing to develop customer solutions.

Areas of work will include helping with the research & evaluation of new and emerging technologies; helping develop software architecture and design documents; being hands on & developing software; inputting into design reviews, risk assessment and product testing.

The work will also include resolving hardware and software related product issues, along with product enhancements such as evolving Cycle Diagnosis and further development of the new WiFi Data Logger and cloud-based Customer Portal.

Skills of interest include an enthusiasm and aptitude for technical problem solving, excellent written and verbal communication, an attention to detail, the ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually, the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, be able to easily adapt to changing priorities and not afraid to challenge and influence others to bring about positive change.

Typically studying for a degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering; the ideal candidate will have knowledge and/or practical experience in embedded software development including C and C++, full stack web development, as well as some electronic hardware experience.

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: London

We are currently looking for a Field Services Engineer to join our growing team and make that difference.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Organise and carry out servicing, installation, repair, routine maintenance, user training and modification to Company products on Customer premises.
  • To prepare accurate reports and keep detailed records as necessary, whilst following the Company procedures defined in Standing Orders and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Actively promote the Company’s products and services.

About You

The customer will be at the heart of everything you do, and so as well as having the required technical skills to diagnose and repair our technology, you will also have excellent customer service and communication skills.  This will enable you to resolve problems quickly and efficiently, whilst being able to communicate effectively with the team and the customer.

Location and transport
